Daiwa Lexa 400 or which reel in left handed?? - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Although I love my Lexa's, I have had a problem with the reel not engaging when in freespool. I have to manually lift the switch to engage the reel or crank the handle really fast. That happened on my 100, I can feel it happening to the 300 currently. I clean my reels religiously after every outing.
