jruiz Large Member Join Date: Jul 2012 Location: La Verne, CA Posts: 1,011	Learn how to read your fish finder and be able to distinguish sandy/muddy vs rocky bottom. Depending on the latitude you find yourself fishing, you may not find rockfish any shallower than 120ft or you can find rockfish as shallow as 25ft.
