This rod taught me alot over more of the other rods I have built. For one never use A metallic thread to do a spiral wrap with multiple strands you will wind up with a tangled pony tail. But A lays down nicely on the blank for first wrap and I like the C thread better than the D thread for wrapping guides. I haven't had a new rod guide slip yet. All in all it's good enough for me and a good investment with a profit.
