I would be curious to know how much sand, if any is now in the bearings. I think the grease used for lubrication is going to attract and hold sand no matter how much you rinse it out. I hope I wrong because I want to upgrade, but I waiting until I hear how the bearings hold up with the sand issue. Looking forward to hearing from those that have the GT drive
