You won't get rid of all the wind noise. You just have to tune the vehicle/yak combo until you get something you can live with.

My yak whistles like crazy when it is mounted directly on the center of my rack. If I move it over a foot I can hardly hear it.

Of course; you could just roll up your windows and it won't seem a loud.
