As far as kayaks go, the Trident in either 13 or 15 foot lengths would be good choices. The Scupper Pro and the Prowler 15 are out of production, but the Tridents are still available. You can literally store all of your gear inside the kayak for going out and coming back. Use the tankwell in the back for your cooler or your catch. And you won't be turned back at the beach when the swell is up a bit.
