I've had some spotty bait action this year. A few weeks ago the browns and greens were right at the reserve buoy. It's always worth a stop there. I don't have a FF so unless I see surface signs I'm just sort of stoppin and droppin. There have been some browns all along the kelp line too. I also saw massive numers of greenies right off the point outside the kelp, but just one time. The fish do eat the spaniards though so don't think your day is ruined if you only get the brownies.
