what foot wear do you use?
Getting tired of red feet. I don't need any thing for warmth, just sun coverage. Socks, light shoes, what are you guys wearing. Thanks Mike |

So far the most comfortable I've found are made by Body Glove. With my Hobie I like to wear something that covers both the top and bottom of my feet so that I can push and pull on the pedals like I do when I'm riding my bike.

I like the Calcutta brand of dive boots. Nice durable sole.

I have a set of dive boots but I can't imagine keeping those on on a warm day. Do you guys fill it with water to keep your feet cool?

I was going to pick a pair up last week when some website had them on sale. $32 I think but Marine buddy of mine who run in those told me that proper fit was crucial and I should go get fitted before buying. I’m going to have to remember to try a pair out next time I’m and sports chalet.

Started out with Dive booties, but my feet sweated too much - that unbreathable neoprene is killer on a hot day. Then I went to the KSO five fingers like those above - they worked well, but are so lowcut that the top of my feet still sunburned.
Then I did my research and found out what the flats fishermen use in the tropics. Columbia Drainmaker shoes came super highly rated - made like tennis shoes, but designed for breathability and water use. Now my feet never get hot, and are completely covered for sun protection. When they get stinky, I just throw them in the washing machine. You can get them cheap right now, because they have been replaced by the newer PowerDrain line, I think I paid something like $40 at West Marine a month ago. |

Sexy. but how do those protect your feet from the sun?
The sanuk slip-on shoe/sandal is my go to footwear. Light-weight breathes, and is comfortable. |
