Okay, this is what I've been able to find out so far. Arrive at the landing around 6:00pm. Park in the main lot to unload (30 min. free parking) and then go and park on the street or in the lot across the street. Bring everything that you would normally use to kayak, (battery, fish finder, net, gaff, etc...). There should be live bait available (may not know for sure until we get on board), but bring lures, plastics and iron just in case. The crew will help load and unload the kayaks.
Not sure what else at this point. Should be a lot of fun and a new experience as long as the weather (and the fish) cooperates. See you on the dock!

Also make sure to bring some Irons. SCI has been hot spot for yellows this winter and spring. Hopefully the wind wont be to bad. Spring time is always hit or miss and with the way the island is positioned finding protected spots can be difficult.

Just spoke to John from the Islander- for those that have looked on SCI closure site- not to worry John spoke with SCI Island control and gave the OK for Islander to fish-
RE: Be at the boat (Fishermans Landing) around 5:30-6pm on Friday Parking: You get 30 min free in the lot to unload and if you are lucky to find parking on the street its free.

weather?
Looked at the forecast and it doesn't look like that sunny glassy day we were hoping for. Winds are up and swells are up. Are we still a go? I have a long drive and would hate to have a cancel at the last minute. I figure the Capt. John will know of a place to hide out.

Just checked the web for the safety zone at San Clemente island and its showing the island to be completely closed on the 12th and only one section open on the 13th. Is there a back up plan if we are not allowed to fish the Island??

Seems that they are shifting things around a bit. Now about half shows as Green for that date. Couple weeks ago the entire Island was green. I am not opposed to a little offshore kayak Tuna action though
