I have a PA14 also, and did not see the transducer fitting in perfect. First had to do cut out the lowrance mount guides. Then found that it was trapping sand between the plate and the transducer causing a degraded picture, so had to refabricate the mount and cut the transducer cover out to give the unit unobstructed transmissions.
