I would avoid drilling holes into the well. Incase something unforeseeable happens and it ends up leaking. I would secure to the gunnels if possible. I’ve had good luck using the hobie bait tank straps and pad eyes. Use small screws 10-32 stainless with washers and nylock nuts on the inside.
