Thanks for the reply!

I am 46, 5'8", 180lbs. The kayak would be riding on my Toyota Highlander(roof). As far as budget, I went half outfitting a friend on his Mirage Oasis Tandem, so I have access to all the bells and whistles. I would more often than not be going out with my buddy- the tandem serving as mothership. We have been going to LJ, Dana Point, Redondo, Newport. We are in LA.

We fly-line for yellows, fish in the rocks, the usual. We are fit, capable guys, with experience on the water, but very much rookies in the kayak realm.

I am of the understanding that the Pursuit is not what most would consider a great fishing platform, and attaching accessories, stability, etc may not be ideal. I've never been accused of being practical, but I do want to be safe. The one I'm looking at is $200/OBO, so I thought it was worth looking into.
