Here's a good diagram of the rig...
I like to use the good Owner three way swivel rather than the old school one...much stronger and less tangles...
Use a Dodger rather than a Flasher...the Dodger swings back and forth putting a lot of action into the Hootchie while a Flasher just spins and doesn't give the Hoochie enough movement...to get as many strikes...
When you rig your Hoochies with a hook...be sure to add a couple of beads inside the body to get the hook to stick out past the Hoochie tails...a long shank hook is best....IMHO

How big of a sinker do you use seems pretty large a for a kayak setup?
