Zip Ties are the perfect thing for Kayak attachments. Light weight, strong as bear snot, salt water proof.
Just remember to change them out about every six months or so due to the fact that the sun will eventually break down the plastic and make it brittle. Duct Tape and Zip Ties can effectively fix 90% of what's broken in the world. We should use a bunch in Congress.

Nice mod, but I'd miss the cupholder more than I'd enjoy the FF mount. Crazy the things you'll throw in your cupholder when you're fishing, including but not limited to a beer!

Hobie Outrigger AMa Sidekick Mod:
After,I got my KayakSailor, which I have so much fun in by the way. I was in need of some outriggers. I got contacted by one of my buddies and he told me he had a spare.
This friend made a solid steel support beam that is so heavy it can be used to kill someone with one blow, so I decided to stay away from using his reinforced steel beam for now. I needed to come up with an idea on how to make them not interfere with my paddle stroke. For now, I decided on some 3/4 PVC. I will put them to test this weekend. [IMG] ![]() cut to size: [IMG] ![]() Fits good: [IMG] ![]() [IMG] ![]() [IMG] ![]() Feels pretty strong..... lets see how it holds up!

So.....here's my latest innovation/build. I put it together but Tony is the one that deserves most if not all of the credit.

What did you power it with? SLA battery or car cigarette adapter? Can't tell from the pic, but it looks like its got the connector for a battery. edit*** nevermind, just saw the pic you posted above. Mine came with a car adapter only which is fine for now, but I want to rig up a female cigarette lighter adapter so I can run it off an extra SLA battery I have. |

I bought the cutting board from 99 cent store and cut it to size with my skilsaw. Glued on with liquid nails i have left over from home depot. Its on solid.

Liquid nails? You used construction adhesive on your kayak?
