I take a couple of terry-cloth towels with me. I keep them dry in dry-bag. As my hands get wet I dry them with the towel. As the towel gets too wet, I use IT for wiping down the kayak and get another dry towel to keep my hands dry. A crazy cycle, but I find dry hands are less cold than wet hands.

Dont forgt your BWE Buffs. Those things are great for keep the ears warm. Also, I find a bini is a must have when it's cold.
