I'm willing to bet that they didn't stop you because of the regulations, it had more to do with the fact that they know what happens every year at the start of lobster season. It's kind of like those DUI checkpoints that they put up after every Superbowl, they know people will be drinking and driving so what better way to prevent DUI accidents than to stop them in their tracks
