Get down to OEX and try them both I have both types paddle and peddle (haha alright pedal sheesh tough crowd around here). Nothing wrong with either and well if you can't afford the hobie now maybe just get something you can afford for now and plan on upgrading later (or just add one more its nice having a spare so you can take newbie friends anyway.. Sometimes the bank account dictates no biggie just get out there!

If you think you want a hobie... Trust me you want a hobie. Hands down they make the best kayaks for fishing.
-I'll here guys shopping in oex saying " like to fish in the kelp"... -They dont like the bait tank behind them. -They like to paddle not pedal Yet they are there checking out the hobie. Price is always the main issue with hobie but you will save yourself a lot of money by getting a hobie first... There are always great deals out there probably going to be lots of cheaper revos and outbacks for sale in the near future due to the new pro angler.

You have a very short drive to get to the launch. Get the kayak you want. I know someone that rolls a pool noodle into a circle and sets it between his revo and car roof then straps out down. It works perfect and is cheap. Do this until you save up for the roof rack

Yeah, I think I am going to keep looking and hopefully come up on a really good deal used for a revo. I just dont think I will be happy with a standard yak. Thanks for the advice, and if anyone wants to sell me there revo due to upgrades I am here.
