nice. hard to judge size but could be in the 60lb range.

easiest way to unhook them is to grab the tail and pull them on you, preferably upside down, then pop the hook out and let 'em back in. pretty simple.

This suggestion above is even more nerve-racking. 60lbs of muscle on your lap with sharp teeth on one end and a belt like tail on the other? "pretty simple".

I've never landed one, got to fight one for about 2minutes and that was it. I can't imagine having all that meat in my freezer.

no, but it wont take a chunk out of your arm or leg like a mako could.

a lot of people are nervous about sharks untill they catch one and are like "oh... he's actually pretty cool" and figure out they aren't all that dangerous as long as you dont get wreckless. Don't try to lip it or just reach in and drag it on board right away.

I grabbed the tail, but couldnt reach the head area like usual. Either that it was a lengthy fella or i have short arms

people have luck grabbing the tail...

...I don't. For some reason they always end up rolling out of my hands. I calmly take them by the pec fin and roll the on their back. They go dormant and are easy to deal with. This is one I released last year that way.
