When you get here I'd be more than happy to show you around San Diego bay. It's a great place to get started. Bit of a drive from Escondido but well worth it to get used to the feel of the water.

Thanks guys. I definitely can't wait. I'm leaning more towards a peddle yak. Maybe a PA if I'm comfortable on it and comfortable transporting it, I know its heavy. Any suggestions on rods and reels for fishing the bay? In addition to terminal gear. I don't have any issues with conventional reels but my girlfriend will probably need a spinning combo to start. I don't want her to get discouraged with bird nests.

I just moved to San Diego from Pensacola FL . I did quite a bit of kayak fishing out there but never on the west coast. I have a pro angler 12 and really like it. Its currently In AZ with all my fishing gear though. Probably wont get it till the beginning of next year once Im settled in. ANy ideas when you might be back ?
Id like to join ya in the bay to work up my west coast experience. stay safe and look forward to seeing ya on the water. |
