George,
Are we fishing outside where the beach launch is very big, with large rocks all over and that big rip current? I remember last time the wind was blowing from west and east at the same time and the swell was huge? Too bad we never get anything there, but this time it feels different. I smell awesomeness. |

7 foot swell at 13 secs.its going to be Deadlist catch kayak style hell yeah I'm in !

That's still nothing compared to my trip to moss landing 2 summers ago. Day started out with 3-5 foot swells but after paddling quite a few miles from the launch we meet 15-20 foot swells at like 20 secs and had to paddle like hell back to safety. Its a bad feeling when you the swells are taller than your yak is long.... Was the craziest trip of my life. I'm just glad we launched from a bay, if not we would have had to call the coastguard, beach landing was not an option....

Tim sold his yak and moved to Wayoming. He became a big game hunter, regularly kills huge elk and bears.
