I use a Shimano FX-S80MHB2. It is my "do everything" rod and I use it for everything from Bluegill to Trout Bass to Bonito.
![]() It is also a two-piece so I can literally just pack it and go. It has not failed me so I have a hard time justifying anything more expensive. |

Trevalas or Terez will handle smaller tuna no problem, they don't need to be 5"8 versions though.
