Sounds like you were close to Punto Santo Tomas. I fished there about 15 years ago and again about 5 years ago and both times it was awesome. Hired a guide with a panga and enjoyed wide open rockfish, ling cod, and calicos. I look forward to taking the yak down there soon.

Looks like a good time Jim. You're always fishing, and that sir is awesome!
I've ridden that area on dirtbikes many times. Me and some buddies did MX every year. One of my favorites was Ensenada to San Quintin. That was Day 1 and rode it back the next day. 350 miles roundtrip. Stayed at the Old Mill in SQ and those were fun days. Besides Pismo, you ride your bike on the beach here in the States, you'd get a $$$ ticket. Down there, nothing but smiles from folks. Congrats on another great day fishing. Oh, here's your paleta! ![]()

Funny you should mention that...Something like (20) dirt bikes came through, rested and watched us for a while. I'm like...where in the hell did you guys (and girls) come from and where are you going?...very cool weekend for them I'm sure...
