Vail

Anyone going to Vail this weekend? I have never fished it (haven't fished largemouth bass in more than 10 years!). I would love to give it a try. Sunday anyone? Vail is in Riverside right?

Janine

That place has the biggest Crappie I've ever seen!

Just out of curiosity, with the seats in your PAs being so high does that make the Kayak top heavy at all? Seems like it wouldn't be as stable as a regular sit on top Kayak.

Janine:
I might be fishing Vail again Saturday if I can make it back up there. The lake is located off the 79, just before you get to Temecula.

CK:
The pictures really don't do those crappie justice. They are the biggest ones I have ever seen! As for the seat in the PA, you can either have it in the high position like in the last picture or you can lower it so it sits much lower. Even in the high position I never feel like I am going to tip over, especially since the PA is 3' wide.

Ok. I was thinking either Vail or Sutherland. Any thoughts on Sutherland?

I think they are having a mud run this weekend. you can call the office to find out. get there extra early if it is going on. the place gets packed when they have events.

I have actually never fished Sutherland so I am not sure. Thanks for the heads up about the event! It looks like they are having a mud run on Saturday 4/27, so if I go that day it will be really early.

I thought it was a private lake? How much does it cost to get in?

Thanks everyone for the replies! It is a private lake but they allow kayaks to launch for $25.

Do you need any kind of membership to launch the kayaks? And do you just show up at the gate and they will let you in with the kayak?
