well, welcome back. When are you going to do the regular dana reports?
I'm trying to ID some rock fish spots for either Weds or Thurs in the DP area. I have an idea, but I'm open to more input. Anyone have any info/ideas to share? |

I know where Cherry Beach is, but haven't heard of White Island. What, and where is that?

White Island is the most closest to Belmont Pier than two other islands...

White is the closest oil island to Cherry. It's a short walk across the sand and a relatively short paddle so you can get a lot of fishing in in a short amount of time. We were off the water at 10:30 yesterday, and it still felt like a good amount of time fishing.

I really like fishing that stretch, I have caught some decent halis in there.

Yep, lots of butts around there. Baytubers used to do (and might still) a lot of halibut tourneys off of Cherry.
