Demo days are't usually scheduled until the weather is more consistently warm. Most Kayak shops are near the ocean an will let you demo "SOME" of them.
The more expensive ones you'll have to wait for an outdoor fair located in or near a lake/marina. Contact the manufacturer to see where/when their next demo fair around the L.A. Area is (you'll have to call around). In Marina Del Rey, try Action sports @ 4144 Lincoln blvd. Then there's Taylor Kayaks near the Venice Costco on Venice Blvd.. Afraid that's all I got. ![]() Hope it helps. FFY |

Hey Jarrod - VERY generous offer, thank you! I'll PM you; I actually had considered the Cuda 14
@ FlyFishinYakr - I didn't know that; I'll keep my eyes peeled then through May @MrAlbacore - That's who I'm paying tomorrow for demos! They apparently don't do free demos for prospective buyers; it's costing me $40 to try three kayaks; I guess the only good thing about paying to demo a boat is, I feel no obligation/loyalty whatsoever to buy from them, I'll pay to try, then get the best deal I can somewhere else. Thanks for all the great feedback! This site is really very cool. |
