I was thinking about that, but I dont think my family would want to do that haha. How far is the trip by paddle/peddle?

no way to take a car that I am aware of. Catalina Express does not allow kayaks.

Long story short, taking a kayak to the island is impractical.

An eight hour (full day) rental is only $50.00. Just take your gear and leashes, etc. The rental place has couple of fishing kayaks with rod holders. Maybe you can call and reserve them.>>
