awesome trip.

Hate to jump on this thread, but just wanted to say thanks to OEX for chartering the trip and to the Islander crew for a unforgetable trip and to the fellow kayaker, it was great learning from you and watching you guys fish. My son (turned 10 last month) and I had a blast. Sorry Matt, we got unbelievably lucky (little kids luck, I guess). Hope to see you guys out on the water soon. Here are some pictures...

You and your kid rocked!

As long as I didn't lose the Jacpot to George it's all good. I hope your son knows that Dad gets to keep the money as a "Guide fee".

Congrats to you and your son on a great fish.

Thanks Islander and OEX
Total counts (about)
12 HB
8YT
one
bunches of sheepshead
jillion Calico bass

Not much for me to add the the great reports already posted up
Fun group of guys and especially the kids who I never heard complain
and who took our $$

Great food and crew of hard working guys who are out chasing tuna now while we are back in our other lives---

Guys there was quite a bit of stuff left at the dock- the islander crew has it-

Three fishing poles-
Two gaffs-
One crack of dawn seat
two shamie? cloths
And one Halibut-about 23 inches and whole

Thanks again guys

I'm going to jump on this thread also if you don't mind .. finally got home from work yesterday, and quickly put some pics and random clips of our kids together in a short video. No fancy video editting, no big fish.. but still, a very good time for us. First time out.. we'll get our halibut or yellowtail next year.
