http://www.windfinder.com/forecast/la_jolla_beach wednesday is looking pretty good in terms of small waves. a weekday is great for less ocean traffic (but the freeways will be a pain). winds dont look too bad for wednesday either. and as another member posted.. bring some calico gear. theres TONS of kelp everywhere and you can latch on to a stringer, and just drop down. i've dropped down with an iron before and hooked 6 different species of fish in the same exact spot within 30min.

Finally made it to La jolla on saturday. Bait was tough, dragged a Mac around for about 4 hrs then wham something took it went straight to the kelp and broke me off. Have a feeling it was a sealion, they where everywhere! After that went into the kelp and caught over 20 calicos and 5 sandbass. My only complaint....why did i wait to go to La Jolla on a holiday weekend
