Raffman basically nailed it above....
IMO - Shelter Island is easiest/best launch in SDB, and Tidelands is the second easiest/best launch there. but if you really want Hali's, SI area typically has produced way more for me over the years. Tidelands has always been mostly all Bass for me. .

Thanks for the info guys im new here and was wondering what spots to launch from. I might give it a shot this weekend.

If you want to head toward the bait barge then Shelter Island is the closest launch. For bassin Around the bridge Tidelands is the one. There are several other good launches in SDB. Jst, 24th st, glorietta bay, and spanish landind are all good for fishing different parts of the bay. Mike
