i have caught many Corvina in SD bay, some up to 30", but mostly 5-10 years ago.
and i have caught 1 juvenile WSB there, around 18" long, about 5 yrs ago.
(mostly all caught on crankbaits, around Shelter Island area.)

and caught a few Croaker in SD bay, on plastics.
(ALL above from my yak.)

and a few Corbina there, MANY years ago fishing from shore, with cut squid.


here's a pic comparing these 4 somewhat similar looking fish:

In order below:

WSB, then Shortfin CorVina (side view),
Shortfin CorVina (w/ Yellow Mouth & 2 FANGS),
Yellowfin Croaker,
and lastly, CorBina....
