Humbolts are not an every year thing and until more recent years were a rarity. In reality you do not want these things coming through because they eat everything in their path and can really ruin Rockfish and Sandbass populations especially.
As for catching them when they do come through, go do it on a sportboat or PB, its way too much hassle and even potentially dangerous on the kayak if you want to really target them. Personally ill stick to market squid. 10000% better eating IMO. |
