Zip Ties are the perfect thing for Kayak attachments. Light weight, strong as bear snot, salt water proof.
Just remember to change them out about every six months or so due to the fact that the sun will eventually break down the plastic and make it brittle. Duct Tape and Zip Ties can effectively fix 90% of what's broken in the world. We should use a bunch in Congress.
