Nifty idea but I found that a cheap electrical cord storage (found @ Home Depot 3 for 5$?) will hold 100' of 3/8" rope and I have 2 clam cleats and 4 regular cleats mounted on my outback to attach to works well also.

Nice clean set up with the clam cleats. I'll second the use of a buoy. I noticed on the vid at 2:10 when he demonstrates the quick release he has the buoy above the line holder. Even with a strong clip it might be better to have it below the line holder. Mike
