Savage Gear crabs?

I've used large mouth bass style creature baits and jigs for spotties with success. But mostly for flipping to pilings though. Never used them out in the open water. I worked with a guy who studied spottie foraging and diet as his masters thesis. And yep, their diet is mostly invertebrates. I'm sure those baits would work. Give em a try and post up your results.
