My one piece of advice is this: Don't be the guy in everyone's way taking way too long to rig up! We slayed the goats last year deep in the kelp using 1oz bullet weights just above 2/0 live bait hooks. Live or dead squid was the bait of choice. The action was so incredible that while waiting for the skiff to deliver bait I was using dried up pieces of squid that were stuck to my yak and still nailing goats on every drop. |

Just around the corner, cant wait for this. Keep thinking over and over what im going to bring, Irons, halibut rigs, bass set up. I figured 4 poles should cover everything. Lets hope for some mellow weather (knocking on wood).
