I keep mine leashed to the kayak in one of those water proof bags. I Take the radio on all my outings all the time.

Anyone scan channels while NOT fishing? man, my guilty pleasure.

I've never used a VHF for kayaking before, only on boats for emergency purposes.

Is there a Chanel that other kayakers tend to use?
