Thanks, surprisingly it slid right into the kayak with no problem. I gaffed it under the chin and I think because of the fishes slime it slid right in. I think if I gaffed it midsection it would've been more of a problem. I was more worried about it thrashing around beating its tail but it just laid there luckily. Then I gave it up brain spike for good measure

Amazing fish! Wow whatta year so far!

It's unfortunate that a bigger fish was caught before yours though....Otherwise this would be front page news and you would be a superstar for a week or so...Congrats on the MONSTERFISH!
