Damn! Sorry to hear bud!

Me and my uncle took our boat out last month and had to turn around 3x after leaving, towing a boat. First time we forgot the boat key, second time was the VHF radio that was left on the charger and 3rd time was bait. Luckily we weren't only a few blocks each time.

It's the excitement of going out I think that makes us so forgetful. We decided to make a check list of things and get it laminated and put it in its truck. Mainly for safety items but also included a checklist so to help us out.

Good news is that you will probably never do that again.

That sucks Harry! Hope you had some good fishing after all that. Since I'm prone to oldtimers disease, I've taken to stashing extra essential stuff in my trunk. I have my old paddle and PFD in there. A list of things I've forgotten includes the bladder for my float tube, waders, and my favorite plastics. I'm sure I'll add to that list as I age.

the worse thing is I walked past the paddle a dozen times with my hands full and kept telling myself to grab the paddle when I came back by. I'm just glad I remembered before I unloaded the yak. I hate lifting that sucker onto the roof of my camper shell
