Got try this one fellas!!
Todd, as far as Sculpin go, as soon as the fish dies, it poison starts to denature. If you cook it, there are absolutely no worries. I've cooked them whole with all their fins and bones and sucked on each one. By the way, I've been stung on two separate occasions, both on the thumb, by two different sculpins. It felt like I had a lighter flame on my thumb for 4 hours each time. I never said I was the sharpest hook in the tackle box. |

Thanks for the fast reply. I love Sculpin and tend to make ceviche out of them. But I will def. incorporate this recipe into my rockfish routine. Yeah getting stung is no fun. I got hit in the leg once, not as bad as the double stingray hit I got surfing old mans a long time ago, but still far from pleasant!
