The batteries we use are already waterproof on their own... no need to put a sealed box into another sealed box. You just need to protect the connections.

I put mine in one of my kids old insulated lunchbags. Protects the connections and provides padding for the battery sliding around. Might have an extra or two if you want to come to fullerton for one

How are you going to mount the transducer for this? I am seriously considering getting the same one. Been eyeing it for awhile. At $149 looks good for what you get.
I read somewhere that you can't "glue" the transducer to the hull. Not sure if they were talking about epoxy or not.....anyway, was hoping you got it and mounted it already and looking for some advice on what works. Looking for through hull options obviously. Thanks Quote:
