Not this week, unfortunately. I wanted to get out on Friday, but it looks like I'll be land locked for a few more weeks.

How long does it typically take you to get to those spots around SD from your area (OC?) I'd like to pick your brain a bit later on decent spots around the LA and Orange Co area....

Takes me a little over an hour for mission bay. I live in Lake Forrest.

That's awesome. I really don't mind driving to get to fish. I used to drive from Tucson to Phoenix almost weekly to get on 2-5lbs bass. LOL

If I'm fishing San Diego or Mission Bay I drive two hours, fish about 6 and then 2 hours home. I try to be on the road home before 1pm so when I hit Moreno Valley I'm not stuck in rush hour traffic.

If I'm fishing Newport it takes a little over an hour if I leave real early, or I get stuck in the 91 crawl and it takes almost as long as if I go to San Diego, which is why I normally go to San Diego.

I'm bummed. Didn't make it out this morning due to a stomach issue. Then I thought i'd brave the wind tomorrow. But, I looked up the weather and it's gone from 12mph at launch to 20+mph. Guess next Thursday will have to do.

If it's any consolation, wind picked up off LJ around 11:30-12 and made it real bumpy. But it was a NW wind, so I'm not sure how that would affect the big bay.
