PROWLERDUDE is right. Go see your local Navy recruter and he will hook you right up with some west coast fishing.

I think hunt n fish is kidding ya man! GO TO COLLEGE BLUE COLLAR IS HARD WORK!! Plus chicks in college are hot! Plus you can get a dorm and 3 hots and a cot and did I mention Chicks??? Get good grades, wind up owning a huge million dollar company, buy a place at the shores and walk your boat to the launch every morning........I know at least one guy who is making this plan work perfect!!

Two girls for every boy in Surf City. Or did that end in the 60's? The making millions as stated above ain't bad though. Give that a try, I need some young-un's to fund the SS system for me when I retire.
Good luck on your plans.

Mike

The Coast Guard is a good option. You might even get stationed in San Diego.

It's good to see you are taking your future seriously. Have you ever been out here before? Based on past experiances I highly suggest you make a few short trips out here to see how life is before you make the big move. Getting information from this, or any other, site is a good start but don't make your plans based on what you read. You may get some good input but it may not be what you are suited for (financially or socially). I would love to live in La Jolla within walking distance to the launch. Can I afford it? No way.
Make a few trips out (you have the time) to check out the area and try some Kayaks (I read your other post) while your at it.
