I like the idea of a workshop...and the tourney sounds like a great way to donate some cash to the cause. I want in.

I want to ask straight out - would more people sign up for $40? But on the other hand, this is really about keeping what's ours. Can you find $50 for that?

Don't do well in tournies and a heck of alot cheaper than going to the Purple Church...

I'm in... I could be interested as a spearo. Maybe no seperate divisions, mano a mano.... could be a fun challenge between speardivers, kayakers.

I think keep it simple, just a payout, unless manufacturers are coming fwd. to donate stuff. That would be nice, but don't want you to have to have to work hard to get stuff.

Edit: I am fine with $50. But just a thought, I am thinking maybe less entry fee to encourage more participants. No payout, this is for our fishing rights, I don't care for money payout. I don't necessarily need it. How about a nice Trophy, "King of La Jolla 2009"
