Road Trip!

I don't know which I'd want more, the tuna or that DOH right barreling point wave. I think maybe I'd have to pick the wave.

Two miles out over blue water middle o' nowhere? Hope you had a paddling buddy and a radio.

SJ nearly got hit right on the head and both roads cross a lot of arroyos that really flow out of the mountains which is why the road ALWAYS gets washed out

I too wonder how the paved road to abre held up.

Need to get back down there.

No damage at all to Abreojos or the road in (all paved now)....the rain from Jimena did cause a fly infestation tho'....drove me crazy and off the beach after 2 days.
Considering a return trip for the new moon in November....the bite lasts thru December (I was there last Xmas).

I was wondering if the flys were still a issue...

You have to just go with it and let them land on your face, or you will go mad. Having a conversataion with a friend who had 3 flys on his eyelids and 2 in the corner of mouth was highly entertaining and a great way to pass the time when not in the water.......

Great Post! Beautiful wave and nice fish. Spent several days camping surf fishing in early 80s with my cousin Bill, no love from the surf but plenty of dinner. Have to go back again with the kayak. Mike
