Some reviews of Tarpon 160i: http://www.paddling.net/Reviews/show...html?prod=1563

FWIW I weigh about 260lbs and fully loaded, batteries, full bait tank, electronics, dry bag full of emergency gear and warm clothes, 4 rods, a gallon of drinking water and all fishing gear and even my 50lb 4yo son spending a whole day out there with me and we are still plenty high out of the water (although he's getting too big for comfort now, thus the need for a tandem!) The weight rating I think is listed on the low side. If you're not sure you're welcome to come demo it!

Tarpon 13 for Tarpon 16?

interested in trading a tarpon130 (tandem that is 2 years old) in great condition with rod holders, bait tank, paddles, cushions to sit on, paddles and leashes, for your tarpon 16 I've taken my friends, nephews and wife out plenty of times at La Jolla with no issues..
