Thanks for the list.

It is sad, as some of the groups on the list are also doing good in trying to prevent destructive fishing practices such as shark finning.

While it may be a drop in the swimming pool, I plan to go to their websites and see if they have a section you can send them an e-mail comment about their position on the MLPA.

The fact that I had to scroll down to see the entire list just bums me out and definitely puts the fight into perspective....yikes.

Hell
that's just the tip of the ice berg my friend
check some of their sites
not just the obvious ones (enviros)
but the other ones
like e2.org
or Sexton, http://www.sextonco.com/work.shtml
the Eagles and the Jets are just a couple of their clients

I hate this chit
but the web these people have spun is very impressive
we are truly the underdogs

I know I will be even more careful of who I support in the future with my money and my vote

Personally I hate doing this
but maybe it's just the way it is now a days
if I really want my kids to have a chance,
a chance to experience any of the freedoms I have enjoyed growing up
then I will have to resign myself to the fact that this stuff is just part of living in this great country of ours
and I have a certain responsibility to be informed and to do my part to fight
the radical agenda of the other side...

Or I can just ride it out, and keep my mouth shut when things don't go the way I think they ought too...

See you Tuesday

I love the "Friends of" moniker such BS, how about we start "Friends of Mother Ocean (FOMO)- dedicated to the responsible harvesting and management of our coastal fishery", im sure the lemmings would fall right in line

I can't seem to edit the old post...
lots of new names to add

Start with
Cal Oceans - http://caloceans.org/

They ran a full page ad in today's Palos Verdes Peninsula News...
Called "Save Rocky Point"
they are pushing hard to have more of the Palos Verdes coastline added to the list of closures

They want more of La Jolla and Malibu too...

Some of the supporters in the ad:
http://www.titandivegear.com/ (Titan Dive Gear)
http://www.ocpausa.org/ (orange county people for animals)
http://www.lacg.net/catalog/index.php (Billy Arcila)
http://www.equaticproductions.com/index.html (Equatic Productions)
http://www.unifiedteamdiving.com/ (Jeff Seckendorf)

and many more...

I still hate this chit!
