Like the others said, if the bearings are good it should only take 30min-hr to change out/grease the drag washers. IMO it's worth the time and effort to learn how to tear down, clean and service your favorite reels, that way your not shut down while your reels are getting repaired and its much cheaper (squidco stocks all the parts you need).

By far the best part about DIY reel service is repairing, or modifying beat up reels then landing a big fish on them! Its also interesting to see the difference in materials, design and component size between some of the most popular reels.
