Try a drop of Krazy Glue on the knot.

I use either a glass bead pulled tight against the swivel with the spectra knot pulled into the bead to protect it or a Carolina keeper slipped just above the knot.

There is a type of egg sinker that has a slit in the side and a plastic insert that you twist to lock in the sinker on the line. This makes it easy to add and remove sinkers without retying hooks.
I bet the plastic piece has a similar effect as the beads in terms of protecting the line. Bob |
