thien, how did you make that image capture. I watched the whole thing and tried to save the image to now avail. Must be a newerbie. Just like standing on the sand when the waters coming in and going out. The sand washes out from under your feet.

I watched them back the trailer into the water to load their dingy. By the time they were done, their car had already sank into the sand. To top it off, the tide was coming in! They ended up unhooking the trailer and dragging it up to the beach. I don't know how they got the car out...

From the size of the little boat, it doesn't look like a need to drive it back that far - a couple guys could carry it - plus they were backing up as if there were a boat ramp.

Not the first time I have seen this, wet sand is like quick sand. I was actually there and pulled him out with my truck. Got a parking ticket for my efforts for the day. Forgot about the Fn street sweepers.

What is the saying "no good deed goes unpunished"?? Too bad about the ticket, but you made someone's day avoiding paying for a tow truck.

I was wondering who helped them out. Jim you are a good guy!

When I was in High School in Eureka, my buddy decided to take his New 2 Day Old Bronco on the beach for the first time. First he was just tearing up and down the beach. Then he started to weave in and out of the surf. Each time going deeper. Finally he stalled the Bronco in the surf. The tide came in and the Bronco ended up surfing for 30 minutes until the 4x4 Tow Service showed up. We took the New Bronco to my house and rinsed the thing off from top to bottom inside and out.

It ended up at a shop where they got it to sputter back to life and was sent directly to the auction yard.

Every time I drive on the beach, I get the willies thinking about the Surfin Bronco.

Jim you did come to the rescue yesterday. You got a parking ticket, I got a rip in my new paddle jacket when I caught it on the back of that xterra while pushing it out. Atleast those guys got it out safe and sound.
