Very nice, I like your fish finder setup. I used to have that kayak, And couldnt find anythign worth a damn to fit in that "designated plano box" spot. That milkcrate is pretty cool, where did you find it?

The bottom pump on the bait tank is a super sweet I did soemthing very similuir when I had that yak. Very sweet setup.

I agree with Bob on the cinch straps vs. bungees to tie down the crate and bait tank. Might attach rod holders right to the sides and/or back of the bait tank with the same lock nuts not to interfere with bait tank access. Where is your battery for the bait tank located?

Are you talking about the Portuguese Bend area as in Rancho Palos Verdes?

Yes, or at least the surrounding areas. Other than our rides around Naples and the day that we spent practicing righting and climbing onto a flipped kayak this will be our open ocean maiden voyage.

I can't remember where I saw that setup for the FF but I did copy it. As far as the milk crate goes I cut the two ends off of a full size crate, zip tied it and also cut out some of the corners for a snuggly fit. The bait tank setup was also copied, I believe I saw it on a post from DSAFETY.

Definately not going with the bungee thing, it works but I want something a little more secure. I just finished the battery install on the bait tank, since the tank sits closer to the port side I mounted the battery box on the starboard side to help balance out the tank once its full, plus I had more space. I'm planning on installing some rod holders this week, I was going to buy some but I figured I'd save some money and make my own.

I'll take some additional pics this week and post them.
